Meet Jared Pritchard, Loan Officer at Midwest Bank in Pierce.
Jared brings a calm, steady presence to the lending team. He understands Nebraska communities because he has lived and worked in them his entire life.
Jared grew up in Spalding, NE. His favorite childhood memories come from working on the family farm with his parents. Those early experiences shaped his work ethic and his appreciation for rural life.
He graduated from Spalding Public High School and later attended Wayne State College. Jared enjoyed the small-town feel of WSC and the close-knit classes that made learning personal and meaningful.
Before joining Midwest Bank, Jared spent nine years with the Farm Service Agency. He helped farmers and ranchers secure the financing they needed to keep their operations thriving. His very first job was also as a loan officer, working in Hastings, Grand Island, and O’Neill. He’s been committed to serving Nebraska’s ag community from day one.
Jared joined Midwest Bank in August 2025. As a Loan Officer, he answers loan questions, works with clients to gather information, and monitors loans once they’re in place. He enjoys seeing how his work directly impacts people and the communities they call home.
He appreciates the culture at Midwest Bank. The team is positive, supportive, and always willing to help.
“The work makes a difference in people’s lives and the community. Everyone keeps a positive attitude and is always willing to help.”
Jared lives in Battle Creek, NE, with his wife, Shawna, who runs her own photography business. They have three children: Callan, Juliette, and Adeline. Their home also includes an outdoor cat named Waylon and three ducks who add plenty of personality to the backyard.
Outside the bank, Jared keeps life simple: family time, Huskers games, and a perfectly cooked steak. He’s loyal to Mountain Dew, enjoys a good horror movie, and his go-to shows are The Office and Seinfeld.
He’d love to learn how to fly a plane. His dream trip is a beach vacation, and Florida is his favorite place to visit. If he could bring back any fashion trend, he’d vote for Heelys with no hesitation. And in the event of a zombie apocalypse, he already has his team picked: Stone Cold Steve Austin, Rick Grimes, and Michael Scott.
One of Jared’s favorite memories at Midwest Bank so far has been participating in community events — summer BBQs, Christmas parades, pancake feeds, and more. Those moments remind him why community banking matters.
When asked why people should choose a community bank, Jared keeps it straightforward: local decisions, local people, and service that treats you like a name, not a number. And if someone is thinking about switching to Midwest Bank, he highlights the customer service, competitive rates, and the convenience of modern digital banking paired with genuine personal connection.
If he had to describe Midwest Bank in three words, Jared chose: Community. Committed. Caring.
A perfect fit for someone who embodies all three.
