Meet Sarahi at Midwest Bank in Lincoln. Sarahi Barajas is one of our dedicated Customer Service Representatives (CSR). Sarahi’s positive energy and commitment to delivering excellent service make her an invaluable member of our team.
Sarahi grew up in the small town of Douglas, NE, where she is fond of spending summer nights in the countryside. She’s a proud graduate of Palmyra Jr-Sr High School. Sarahi loved the close-knit environment of her school, where everyone knew everyone, and students and teachers shared meaningful connections.
Before joining the Midwest team, Sarahi built her career working as a bartender, in retail, and as a service manager at an HVAC company. While she learned a lot, she knew she wanted something different, and applying to Midwest Bank was the best decision for her and her family.
Sarahi joined the Midwest Bank family over a year ago as a Customer Service Representative, and she’s been thriving ever since. Her role involves providing top-notch service to anyone who walks through the doors, assisting with DDA, CDs, and savings accounts. Sarahi loves the people and culture at Midwest Bank, describing it as “fun, educational, and one of the best places I’ve ever worked.”
Midwest Bank is fun, educational, and one of the best places I’ve ever worked. And the best thing about working here is the people and the culture.
Sarahi’s pride and joy is her beautiful little family of three. Her boyfriend, Jorge, hails from Salt Lake City, Utah, and moved to Crete, NE, at the age of 10. Together, they recently welcomed their adorable son, Mateo, into the world last year.
When she’s not helping clients at the bank, Sarahi enjoys lifting weights at the gym, cheering on the New England Patriots, and indulging in her favorite guilty pleasure—the smell of wet concrete! She’s a big fan of grilled burgers, Grey’s Anatomy, and Jersey Shore Family Vacation. Her go-to movie? Pulp Fiction (especially the iconic “apartment scene”).
Sarahi has a knack for music and can play nearly every instrument—except for piano and guitar. If she could learn anything, it would be how to fly a plane. Her dream vacation involves soaking up the sun on a beach, but her favorite getaway is a trip to Colorado’s majestic mountains.
One of her favorite memories so far working at Midwest Bank is the baby shower her coworkers threw for her family. “It made me feel so thought of,” she shares.
When asked why people should choose a community bank, Sarahi points to the personalized care and reliability that Midwest Bank offers. “We take the time to care for our clients,” she says. “We’re personable and reliable.”
And if she had to describe Midwest Bank in just three words, Sarahi sums it up perfectly: Fun. Educational. Amazing.
