Meet Sam at Midwest Bank. Sam is a Loan Officer at our Creighton branch and has been with the bank since early 2023. Sam is a Creighton native, having grown up here and graduating from Creighton High School. Sam went on to attend and graduate from Wayne State College.
Before coming to Midwest Bank, Sam was a high school math teacher in the area. After deciding he no longer wanted to teach, Sam shifted his focus to something else he enjoyed: agriculture. He worked at Homestead Bank in Howells as a Junior Loan Officer and then a Loan Officer. Then, an opportunity arose for him to return home to Creighton and work at Midwest Bank, and he’s grateful he took advantage of it.
In his current role as a Loan Officer in Creighton, Sam enjoys getting to work with clients each day, helping them to meet their financial goals. He also enjoys getting to serve his community in a variety of ways. We asked him what the best thing was about working for Midwest Bank. Sam said, “It’s so family-oriented here. It’s a great work environment and provides opportunities for all of us that work here.” Whether you work at a branch in Creighton or in Lincoln, we want all of our employees to feel valued, appreciated, and encouraged.
It’s so family-oriented here. It’s a great work environment and provides opportunities for all of us that work here.
When Sam isn’t working, he enjoys spending time with his fiancé, Jordyn, and her cat, Asia (even if he says he doesn’t like it). He also likes to spend time with his parents and two older brothers and their families. He enjoys watching sports, cheering for the Cornhuskers, and listening to true crime podcasts when he has some spare time. His favorite concert so far was Cody Johnson, he enjoys going to Colorado to ski, and his dream vacation is sitting on a beach at a resort.
We asked Sam what makes a community bank like Midwest Bank so special. Sam explained, “When you come to Midwest Bank, you get high-quality service from people who really care about your well-being.” And if you’re someone who’s looking for a new bank, Sam knows why you should choose Midwest Bank. “We’re big enough to service any of your financial needs, yet small enough to provide you with the high-quality service of a community bank.” It’s really the best of both worlds.
And finally, when asked to describe Midwest Bank in just three words, Sam summed us up pretty well by saying,
“Community. Team. Success.”
Sounds like a great place to bank.
