Midwest Bank proudly announces that Alex Coan and Kelsey Schrader have been recognized as two of Norfolk’s Top 20 Under 40.
This annual recognition presented by Norfolk Now and Connect Norfolk highlights young professionals who excel in their respective fields and are growing as community leaders. Kelsey and Alex were nominated and awarded this honor because of their dedication to the workplace, their volunteer work in the Norfolk area, and their leadership within the organizations in which they are involved.
Alex is the Retail Banking Manager at the Norfolk Main branch. She oversees all the retail functions and goes above and beyond to build relationships with clients. Alex has a heart for our community and believes in improving the places where we live and work.
Alex has a passion for serving the Hispanic population in the Norfolk area. At Midwest Bank, she has been instrumental in growing our Hispanic client base and serves as a leader on our Hispanic Growth Committee. Alex is also a member of the Norfolk Area Chamber of Commerce Hispanic Council.

Kelsey is an Assistant Vice President in the Human Resources department. She is passionate about being a team player and is devoted to taking on new challenges in our organization. Kelsey also helps to teach and instill Midwest Bank’s values into our team members and is a key component of our culture.

Kelsey serves all Midwest Bank branches and is a key leader in major bank events. She is the co-chair of our Christmas on Cooper Drive event, a co-coordinator of Reality Check, and a leader of Midwest Bank’s Kids Club.
