The Jim B. and Lillian F. Cooper Foundation and Midwest Bank are proud to announce the 2023 grant recipients. These grants were awarded to organizations dedicated to making a difference in the communities Midwest Bank serves.
These communities include Creighton, Deshler, Lincoln, Norfolk, Pierce, Pilger, Plainview, Wisner, and York. The grants help to provide funding to organizations that support health, education, and recreation in their communities. The following grants were awarded in 2023:

$1,300 to Creighton Community School’s robotics program.

$630 to Nebraska Extension – Knox County for incubators.

$500 to Creighton Public Library for their Space Maker Station.

$1500 to the City of Deshler Volunteer Fire Department for firefighting gloves.

$1,000 to Creighton Youth Baseball Association for field upgrades.

$900 to Spring Creek Kids for playmats.

$1,000 to Thayer County Health Services for pulse oximeters.

$1,000 was awarded to Junior Achievement of Lincoln’s Financial Literacy Program.

$750 to Lincoln Children’s Zoo for memberships.

$700 to Grant Elementary School for birthday books for kids.

$600 to Oasis Counseling International for car seats.

$500 to Pierce Senior Citizens Center for repairs.

$1,200 to the Village of Pilger for campground improvements.

$500 to Plainview Manor for entrance furniture.

$500 to CASA for volunteer training.

$500 was awarded to Mosaic for a dishwasher.

$1,647 was awarded to Pierce Public Schools for standing desks.

$1,000 to the Cooper Family Community Center for exercise utility.

$500 to Helping Hands Youth Ministry for food and school supplies.

$500 to Plainview Public Library for Teen Time-Out.

$1,000 to Little Blessings Preschool for their Outdoor Nature Center.

$500 for Norfolk Family Coalition for hygiene closet supplies.

$1,250 to Pierce Pacers Softball for jerseys.

$640 to Pilger Municipal Pool for lifeguard education and equipment.

$1,000 to Plainview First District for breathing apparatus.

$500 to Plainview Social Center for banquet chairs.

$1,500 to the City of York Parks and Recreation for interactive projector.
Not pictured: Digg Site Productions received $750 for film workshops and Lincoln Youth Baseball Organization received $750 towards equipment.
